Use of clonidine in the management of patients with neurogenic bladder dysfunction

Abstract:
Clonidine, a centrally acting hypotensive agent was shown to decrease peak urethral pressure and facilitate vesical emptying in patients with neurogenic bladder dysfunction due to low spinal lesion. Selection of patients, side effects of therapy, and its mode of action are discussed.
