Vascularized transplantation of skeletal muscle: a case report

Reconstruction of a severely injured forearm, which lacked flexor muscle function and which had a complete absence of volar sensation, was undertaken. A gracilis musculocutaneous flap was used as a free muscle transfer to replace the flexor muscle function successfully.
