[Contralateral orbital metastasis of a malignant choroid melanoma]
Abstract:
Nine years after enucleation of the right eye because of a choroidal melanoma a choroidal melanoma a metastasis of the melanoma developed in the left orbit. Histologically, the two tumors were identical spindle-cell B melanomas. No other primary tumors or metastases were found. This is only the third case of this rare form of metastasization ever reported.
