Abstract:
Apart from transmural (filterable and reabsorptive) effects, the four forces acting at the permutation vessels also have contramural (filling and compressive effects). The question is examined as to which factors limit the maximum possible reabsorption. Analysis shows that with a rise in tissue pressure up to the value at which the filling forces become equal to the compressive forces (the permutation vessel just remains open), a reabsorption is possible only up to the level of the double difference of the oncotic suction dependent on the protein content on the inside and the outside of the vessel wall. If the perivascular oncotic suction rises to that of the blood, the reabsorption falls to zero. The need for the lymphatic vessel system results automatically from this.
