Abstract:
Females who were purely bottle-fed during the first trimenon of life showed a significantly increased incidence of overweight at 15 years of age as compared to those who were purely breast-fed or breast plus bottle-fed. Similar findings were obtained in males. In purely bottle-fed females, furthermore, a significant positive correlation was found between the body weight at 3 months of age and body height at 15 years of age.
