Summary

Elevated levels of inflammatory cytokines, tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and interleukin-6 (IL-6), were observed in most patients experiencing graft rejection after bone marrow transplantation (BMT). These cytokine dysregulations may play a role in the development of graft rejection.
