    Summary

    Primary rat renal glomeruli cultures yield two cell types: cytokeratin-positive c-cells and vimentin-positive f-cells. These parietal epithelial cells behave differently on plastic, basement membrane, and Matrigel, challenging assumptions about visceral epithelial cells in culture.
