Background:

  • Antrochoanal polyps (ACPs) are maxillary sinus polyps extending into the choana.
  • Their pathogenesis, particularly the relationship with allergy, remains unclear.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare the histologic features of ACPs with allergic and non-allergic nasal polyps.
  • To elucidate the pathogenesis of ACPs.

  • Histologic examination of 40 ACP cases.
  • Comparison with histologic findings of allergic and non-allergic nasal polyps.

  • No allergy was detected in ACP patients.
