Patients with primary ventricular fibrillation (VF) show prolonged conduction delays in fractionated electrograms, suggesting a reentrant substrate. This finding helps understand VF mechanisms in individuals without structural heart disease.

Purpose of the Study:

    • Patients with primary VF demonstrate increased delays in individual potentials within fractionated electrograms compared to controls.
    • These findings suggest a component of a reentrant arrhythmic substrate may be present in primary VF.
    • This identifies a potential electrophysiological abnormality contributing to primary VF.
