Treatment of a crowded Class II malocclusion with significant maxillary incisor protrusion

A case report of a 10-year-old girl with a skeletal and dental Class II, Division 1 malocclusion is presented. There was marked arch length deficiency in the mandibular arch and significant maxillary incisor protrusion. The patient was treated with maxillary premolar extractions and early maxillary treatment for incisor retraction. The treatment was completed nonsurgically with full treatment later and a single mandibular incisor extraction. The Class II malocclusion and crowding were resolved with Class II molar and Class I canine relationships and a positive profile change.
