Strategies of care for patients with dementia

Strategies are available to help nurses care for patients with dementia in general wards and the community. Strategies include reality orientation, environmental modification, validation and resolution therapies and the use of reminiscence. Such approaches can lead to higher standards of care and a better quality of life for people with dementia.
