Where have all the flowers gone? Nursing's escape from the radical critique

The radical critique, born out of the social unrest of the 1960s and early 1970s, has provided a strong basis for criticism of most social institutions. This paper examines the basic tenets of the radical critique and the extent to which competing paradigms within nursing have silenced the radical critique for nursing.
