Lupus-like eruption and human immunodeficiency virus infection

Aberrant production of antibodies has been reported in some patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus. However, manifestations of autoimmune disease are rare. A case of a human immunodeficiency virus seropositive patient with a high titer of antinuclear antibodies and clinical manifestations of psoriasiform subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus is described.
