Youth unemployment: effects on health and happiness

The relationship between youth unemployment, health and happiness is complex. Stress associated with loss of work in adults may not be experienced in the same way, or at all, by teenagers. Nurses, therefore, need to keep an open mind in assessing the mental health needs of younger clients.
