[Microbiological study of peritoneal exudate in acute pancreatitis of diverse severity]
Abstract:
Bacteriologic investigation of peritoneal exudate was performed in 62 patients, including 19--while performing laparotomy and 43--laparoscopic investigation. In the enzyme toxemia phase the exudate was infected in 19.3% of patients. In acute pancreatitis of mild degree the peritoneal exudate was sterile in all of the patients, while in middle degree and severe one the microorganisms were discovered in peritoneal exudate accordingly in 23 and 33.3% of patients. Appearance of obligate anaerobic microorganisms in peritoneal exudate in the first phase of an acute pancreatitis presents the risk factor for suppuration of necrosis foci.
