  • Key symptoms included object/color/person/place recognition difficulties, topographical disorientation, visual memory loss, alexia, simultagnosia, and optic ataxia.
  • Some patients developed memory issues or global dementia; language and behavior remained intact.

Findings:

  • P100 visual evoked potentials showed reduced amplitude in most patients.
  • Brain imaging revealed parieto-occipital atrophy and hypoperfusion.
  • Neuropathology remains uncharacterized.
