Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the short-term effects of a reversed intestinal segment on structural and functional adaptation following distal resection.

  • Ten dogs underwent 75% distal intestinal resection.
  • Five dogs had a reversed terminal segment (RS group), while five had a standard remnant (RO group).
