Abstract:
Despite imperfect surveillance systems, it is clear that the incidence of tuberculosis has increased throughout the world and particularly in third world countries. Associated factors explaining the changes in the epidemiology of tuberculosis are HIV infection and increased resistance to major antituberculosis drugs. Major measures must be taken to fight against this new rise in the incidence of tuberculosis in the world.
