[Injuries to the main vessels and their reconstruction in pancreatoduodenal resection]

The article discusses the results of surgical correction of injuries inflicted to the vessels of the portal system in three patients during pancreatoduodenal resection. Growth of the pancreatic tumor into the main vessels may be revealed only during the operation, which requires vascular plastics. Compression of the portal vein causes marked changes of the central and regional hemodynamics.
