The growth of public health nursing

This article is an edited version of a paper given at the launch of the RCN Public Health Special Interest Group in January this year. In it, the author argues that public health is a concern for nurses practising at all levels and in various settings, and discusses the possibility of developing a public health specialty in nursing.
