Orthopaedic health promotion 2000

The Healthy People 2000 document published by the U.S. Public Health Service and the Department of Health and Human Services provides a blueprint of health goals for the nation into the 21st century. This article gives examples of document objectives that have relevance for the orthopaedic nursing specialty and articulates the importance of promoting mobility and musculoskeletal health.
