[Psycho-rehabilitation of patients with dementia]

Rehabilitation techniques for dementia are reviewed, followed by a discussion of their limitations with regard to application and evaluation. It is concluded that, although these techniques may be imperfect, empiric and of variable effect, they are necessary for the support of these patients and their families, particularly since no effective drug yet exists for treating dementia.
