Area of Science:

  • Neuropathology
  • Neuro-oncology
  • Smooth Muscle Cell Biology

Background:

  • Leptomeningeal neoplasms are rare and can present with diverse neurological symptoms.
  • Mesenchymal tumors of the central nervous system require precise histological and ultrastructural characterization for accurate diagnosis.
  • Smooth muscle cell-derived tumors in the leptomeninx are exceptionally uncommon.
