[The ecologic problem in the light of I. V. Davydovskiĭ's biologic conception of general pathology]

Scientific principles in which I.V. Davidovsky's biological concept of a general pathology is based (evolutionism, ecological aspects, predetermination of diseases by the whole anthropogenesis, selfmovement and selfdevelopment, role of to-day etiological factors as only a starting mechanism, interconnection and interaction between biological and social factors) allow not only to understand the causes and mechanisms of the diseases in their historical development, but to make also the prognosis of possible negative consequences for the future development of a man and mankind. Elimination of all factors hazardous to the human health and representing a direct threat to the biological existence of humans is an urgent problem of medico-biological science under the conditions of modern scientific-technical revolution.
