Adult leukaemia--making the diagnosis
Australian Family Physician
|August 1, 1994
Abstract:
The adult leukaemias are an uncommon but significant group of malignancies. They often present non specifically, but should be suspected on the basis of various clinical findings and the full blood examination. When the diagnosis appears likely, specialist referral is required (especially urgent in the acute leukaemias) to allow confirmation of the diagnosis and initiation of appropriate treatment.
