Contrast-enhanced computed tomography offers 90% sensitivity for diagnosing necrotic pancreatic tissue, making it the top imaging choice for acute pancreatitis classification. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is vital for identifying ductal stones and tumors to determine pancreatitis causes.
