Health, similarly as most health services, cannot be considered a common market commodity, to which apply laws governing industrial spheres. The baseline for selection and suitable application of economic mechanisms in health care must be a modern purposeful health policy and an information system, training and research, associated with it. The contribution made by provisions in health economics is also conditioned by the culture of management, the degree of democracy, the standard of professional training, respect of human values and sensitive control of ethical problems.
