Abstract:
The initial advice given to a patient with a proven breast carcinoma needs to be informed and sensitive. Breast specialists still have firm and differing views of the management of early breast carcinoma and, although a consensus approach is nearer now than it used to be, there is still sufficient variation to make it difficult for the surgical trainee.
