Summary

Patients with anorexia nervosa exhibit significantly lower levels of serum thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) compared to healthy individuals. Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) response to thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) is also altered in these patients.
