Abstract:
The symptoms of arthritis and encephalitis of goats (CAE) are described following our own observations and with regard to the current literature. CAE virus infections can produce a chronic arthritis (especially carpitis), an interstitial mastitis and a subclinical pneumonia. Encephalitis in kids caused by CAEV-infection is very rare in Germany.
