Abstract:
The aim of the present paper is to present a brief critical analysis of the technical aspects of surgery for atherosclerotic carotid stenoses, including reconstructive techniques, preoperative evaluation of neurologic risk and intraoperative monitoring and cerebral protection. Our present personal protocol is presented.
