[The functional anatomy of the eye with its impact on immunopathology]
1Clinica Oftalmologică, Cluj, Napoca.
Abstract:
The description of specific eye's functional anatomy from an immunological point of view helps us in better understanding the particularities of immunitary reaction at this level. Unlike the globe appendices (lid, conjunctive and lacrimal apparatus), where the immunitary defense has no particularities, the ocular globe is distinguished by the existence of the hemato-ocular barriers, the absence of lymphatic drainage and the unequal distribution of HLA phenomena in ocular tissues.
