Abstract:
Tumor detection, differential diagnosis, clinical staging and follow-up information are the main aims in imaging lung tumors. The contribution of specific imaging methods, above all chest radiography and CT, is discussed for lung cancer, the clinically most important entity. Despite the lack of histologic information, noninvasive methods currently play an important role in the clinical management of lung tumors.
