Numerous studies have demonstrated the efficacy of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and their superiority to placebo as symptomatic treatment for osteoarthritis (OA). Unquestionably, use of NSAIDs has reduced joint pain and improved mobility for millions of patients with OA.
