Abstract:
The concentration of Mg, Zn, Cu, Fe, Mn and V in the CSF of 38 cases of tuberculous (tbc) meningitis and those in 40 cases of normal control were measured. Results showed that concentration of Mg, Zn or Fe in tested group was higher and that of Cu was lower than that in control group, but there was no significant difference between Mn and V's concentration in 2 groups. The authors suggested that those findings may be helpful in improving the treatment of tbc meningitis.
