Abstract:
Complex functional preoperative investigation performed in 140 patients with lung or esophagus cancer made it possible to identify 2 functional parameters--exercise tolerance and systolic pressure in the pulmonary artery, which when compared with the course of the intra- and postoperative periods, proved most informative for the prediction of respiratory and cardiovascular complications.
