Abstract:
Adult psychiatric clients who are also mentally retarded represent a population with unique nursing care needs. Nursing diagnoses provide information about current functional and potential problems, thus aiding in diagnosis and treatment. Additional research is needed regarding nursing diagnoses for this population.
