Role of the nurse teacher as researcher

Nurse teachers have an important role to play in nursing research. This article examines this role and considers some of the factors that prevent nurse teachers from increasing their research activity. It also highlights methods by which nurse teachers and nursing practitioners can work together to reduce the theory/practice gap and improve patient care.
