Applying a model of quality assurance in intensive care

At the moment many changes and new trends are being introduced in British health care. Perhaps amongst the most important of these changes are those aimed at introducing quality strategies into health care. In this paper the subject of quality assurance within intensive care unit settings is discussed, with an example of how one quality model might be implemented, Maxwell's model of quality (1984).
