Summary

Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is present in human glomerulonephritis, specifically in immunoglobulin A nephropathy and lupus nephritis. These IL-4-positive cells are T lymphocytes, suggesting a role for IL-4 in kidney disease pathogenesis.
