Abstract:
Despite the national decline in dental caries, replacing failed restorations will continue to be an important part of the work load of the general dental practitioner. One of the main problems with the leading restorative material, amalgam, has been bonding it to tooth dentine. This paper describes three amalgam bonding systems that have been developed to overcome this limitation.
