Case management and caring behavior

A conceptual framework using the 10 caring behaviors described by Watson clarifies an aspect of one hospital's nursing focus, means and goals. Through the use of this model, case managers develop transpersonal or empathetic relationships with patients in the hospital and in the community. The outcomes indicate that caring relationships promote self-healing and self-actualization.
