Two novel transmembrane protein tyrosine kinases expressed during Caenorhabditis elegans hypodermal development

We characterized kin-15 and kin-16, two homologous genes in Caenorhabditis elegans. These genes encode unusual transmembrane protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs) potentially involved in hypodermal cell fusion during development.
