Background:

Cluster headache (CH) is a debilitating neurological disorder.
Preliminary studies suggest hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) may alleviate CH attacks.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) in treating episodic cluster headache (CH).
To determine if HBO provides symptomatic relief and/or prevents future CH attacks.

Main Methods:

Seven patients with episodic cluster headache received hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) treatment.
Six different patients received a placebo treatment for comparison.
Outcomes measured included attack interruption and duration of pain-free periods.
