Abstract:
Ergonomic principles were used to build the model of a mat weaving frame in order to help workers have better posture. The work level and seat were elevated to a proper height, with sloped work area. The study model was accepted because it is comfortable and because it reduced back and leg pain. Villagers not only participated in building the frame but also showed their potential in model development for easier and faster weaving.
