Abstract:
Oligonucleotide 15-mers containing 2-anthraquinonylmethyl substituents at the different 2'-sugar residues have been synthesized. These oligomers exhibit increased stability in formation of hybrids with complementary DNA and RNA without loss of sequence specificity.
