Quantitative MRI using hippocampal T2 (HCT2) and hippocampal volume ratio (HCVR) reliably diagnoses hippocampal sclerosis in epilepsy patients. These MRI measures correlate with pathology, aiding presurgical evaluation.

  • Consider end-folium and amygdala sclerosis in TLE patients with negative MRI findings.
