The ethics of managed care--part 2 diagnosis: the world as it is

A warped vision of the world is demiurgic: it helps distort the world in its own image. Ethics is about correcting one's self-exculpatory vision so as to see the world clearly as it is in the hope that it can be improved. This essay summarizes the world-as-it-is in health care today.
