Visceral angioedema related to treatment with an ACE inhibitor

For more than five years, a patient suffered recurrent episodes of abdominal pain accompanied by diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting. An angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor causing visceral oedema was eventually implicated.
