Summary

Testicular trauma can lead to subfertility, evidenced by abnormal semen analysis and atrophic testes. Early surgical repair appears to preserve hormonal function and fertility potential in men following testicular injury.

  • To investigate the long-term effects of testicular trauma on male reproductive function.

  • Retrospective review of 15 patients undergoing immediate exploration for testicular trauma (1972-1991).
